Did you know that salted caramel was invented by French chocolatier Henri Le Roux in the late 1970s when he attempted to differentiate his shop’s products from those of the many patisseries in the area while still incorporating salted butter, one of the region’s famous exports.
The resulting salted butter caramel became a bestseller and made Le Roux’s shop famous.
Today, that sauce that combines sweet and salty flavors are incorporated in many desserts and drinks which include the Salted Caramel Frappuccino I recently had at Hustle Cafe.
At only Php140, it’s a great drink to have while relaxing or getting ready for work.
It also went well with Hustle Cafe’s food offerings such as the Pork Samgyupsal (Php250) and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich (Php180).
Hustle Cafe is located at the CKB Center, Tomas Morato Avenue corner Rallos Street, Laging Handa, Quezon City, open Mondays to Saturdays from 10am to 10pm. For inquiries and advanced orders, call +63 916 6557485.
Check out my post on my main blog – Jellybeans in the City – for a more detailed writeup of my experience at this cafe.
